Here you will find a set of prompts to support student teachers in regular self-reflection during their school internship abroad using short voice memos or journal entries. The prompts guide students through examining their expectations, developing teacher identity, and comparing music education across cultural contexts. The resource is designed for use throughout the internship, with additional prompts for longer placements and for students undertaking the internship alongside peers. Learning Objectives: - To be able to use voice memos and journal entries as tools for regular self-reflection during the internship abroad. - To be able to articulate and examine their evolving teacher identity and teaching philosophy by connecting experiences in the school internship abroad to their existing knowledge and prior expectations. - To be able to reflect on similarities and differences between music teaching practices in their home and host contexts, and consider what these reveal about their own assumptions and values. - To be able to trace and describe their own professional growth over the course of the internship by looking back at earlier reflections.
